PROBLEMS OF ADAPTATION OF THE SCORE-RATING SYSTEM TO THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS AT LAW DEPARTMENT

Abstract (English):

The paper is dedicated to the research of the processes and results of the implementation of the grade-rating system at the premises of law department of the Kemerovo State University. The goal of the research was to analyze the performance achieved in the process of assessment of students in the framework of current and boundary control on specific subjects of the curriculum, and to formulate problems teachers and students face while using this method of scoring. The author concludes that there are some technical, organizational and methodological problems in the process of implementation of the grade-rating system. The author points out the need for an in-depth analysis of the grade-rating system and to the rejection of a purely formal approach in the use of the assessment system in the educational process. The result of the study can be used by university professors as a set of methodical instructions while filling in the contents of the grade-rating system for their disciplines and as the base platform for exchange of experience on the subject.
